CARBON FILTER（OPTIONAL）
Activated carbon filters are used to trap odours and must be used if the hood
is not vented to the outside. They are available from the same retailer the
hood was purchased from under reference: eiQCF110
1. Before installing or replacing the carbon filters, please remove power to
the unit.
2. The carbon filters attach to the sides of the motor housing. This can be
accessed by removal of the metal grease filters on the base of the
hood
3. The filter should be attached by locating the centre of the filter on the
peg on the side of the motor housing. The filter should then be twisted
clockwise to lock it into position.
4. Once both carbon filters have been installed, the grease filters can be
reinstalled before power is reconnected to the unit.
NOTE:
• Removal of used carbon filters is the same process as fitting, just
twisting the filter anticlockwise to release them.
• Make sure all filters are securely locked. Otherwise, they could loosen
and cause damage to the unit, or the hob below.
• When the activated carbon filters are attached, the suction power will
be reduced.
• The charcoal filter cannot be washed or recycled. They should be
changed at three to six-month intervals depending on the level of use.
• Replacement filters are available from the stockist you purchased the
hood from under reference:
