4.3 Ports

The following input/output ports are provided by the motherboard.

IPMI LAN Port
A dedicated IPMI GbE LAN port is on the I/O back panel. IPMI LAN is supported by the
Aspeed AST2500 BMC (Baseboard Management Controller). This port accepts a RJ45 type
cable. Refer to the LED Indicator Section for IPMI LAN LED information.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Ports
There are two USB 2.0 ports (0/1) and two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports (4/5) on the I/O back panel.
Unit Identifier Switch/UID LED Indicator
A Unit Identifier (UID) Switch (UID-SW) and a rear LED Indicator (UID-LED) are located on
the I/O back panel. When the user presses the UID switch, the UID LED indicator illuminates.
Press the UID switch again to turn off the UID LED. The UID indicator provides easy
identification of a system unit that might be in need of service.
Note: UID can also be triggered via IPMI on the motherboard. For more information on IPMI,
refer to the IPMI User's Guide posted on our website: http://www.supermicro.com.
