Preparation
To complete the installation you will need:
Phillips Screwdriver
Prepare door: remove existing deadbolt or use provided template to bore new holes.
Cross-bore
2-⅛" (54mm)
*There are some latch holes with smaller openings. Skip this procedure
if the deadbolt fits the latch hole and make sure the wire cable in not
jamming. Use a jab or alligator saw (common on most multi-tool
pocket knife) to file and adjust the latch hole. File the latch hole (red
marked area) according to the size of your backset. Make sure the
wire cable smoothly passes through the latch hole.
CAUTION: lock contains electrostatic-sensitive (ESD) parts. Best practices: ground yourself by
touching a metal surface other than lock to discharge any ESD you might have; don't wear
clothes prone to static (ESD); avoid touching electronic internal pins and circuit board.
Flathead Screwdriver
*Optional
Tape measure or ruler
* Use goggles to protect eyes if you need to drill door holes.
