Troubleshoot a problem
Text or images cut off
Note: Before solving the problem, print the Print Quality Test Pages. From the home screen, touch Settings >
Troubleshooting > Print Quality Test Pages.

Adjust the paper guides in the tray to the correct position for
the paper loaded.

Print the document.
Is the text or image clipped?
Step 2

Depending on your operating system, specify the paper size
from the Printing Preferences or Print dialog.
Notes:
Make sure that the setting matches the paper loaded in
the tray.
You can also change the setting on the printer control
panel. From the home screen, touch Settings > Paper >
Tray Configuration > Paper Size/Type.

Print the document.
Is the text or image clipped?
Step 3
a
Remove the photoconductor units.
Warning—Potential Damage: Do not expose the
photoconductor units to direct light. Extended exposure to
light may cause print quality problems.
Warning—Potential Damage: Do not touch the
photoconductor drums. Doing so may affect the quality of
future print jobs.

Insert the photoconductor units.

Print the document.
Is the text or image clipped?
Yes
No
Go to step 2.
