How to install a triducer
DO NOT over-tighten screws, to prevent damage to the transducer.
Tools and materials required
• Scissors
• Safety goggles
• Electric drill
• Drill bit:
For bracket holes: 4 mm, #23, or 9/64"
For fiberglass hull: chamfer bit (preferred), 6 mm, or 1/4"
For transom hole: 9 mm or 3/4" (optional)
For cable clamp holes: 3 mm or 1/8"
• Straight edge
• Pencil
• Water-based anti-fouling paint (mandatory in salt water)
525STID-MSD
The optional triducer 525STID-MSD is de-
signed for thru-hull mounting. Note the fol-
lowing points when installing.
• Select a location where turbulence or
bubbles do not occur when cruising.
• Select a location where noises from pro-
pellers and stripe lines are lessen.
• The transducer must always remain sub-
merged, even when the boat is rolling,
pitching or up on a plane at high speed.
525STID-PWD
The optional triducer 525STID-PWD is de-
signed for transom mounting.
However, select the location where influ-
ences from bubbles and turbulences to
ensure the best performance. Allow ade-
quate space above the bracket for it to re-
lease and rotate the sensor upward as
shown in the right illustration.
