Fans in the closed-loop control cabinet (option A20)

A fan is integrated in the closed-loop control cabinet. Operation at temperatures about +40°C up
to a maximum of +45°C is therefore possible. The fans are not redundant. However, the fan can
be replaced in operation. The closed-loop control cabinet can briefly tolerate higher
temperatures. Nevertheless, prompt replacement is advisable.

3.5.8

Anti-condensation heating for the closed-loop control (A21)

The anti-condensation heating is used at low ambient temperatures and high levels of humidity
to prevent condensation from forming. The heating is controlled via a thermostat. The heating
is externally supplied with power.
3.5.9

Vented electronic compartment in the power unit (option A32)

A fan is integrated in the electronics section of the power unit. Operation at temperatures about
+40°C up to a maximum of +45°C is therefore possible. The electronic compartment in the
reactor area is designed as a separate low-voltage compartment with its own doors and, if
applicable, fans in the doors. It therefore allows you to open the electronic compartment during
operation for the replacement of components.
The fans are required for ensuring the promised rates of failure of the electronic modules. The
fans are not required for guaranteeing the reliable operation of the electronic modules. If the
fans fail, the converter is not switched off. The module temperature is monitored by the closed-
loop control. The default shutdown threshold is 75°C. You must not open the power unit to a
replace a faulty fan. Replace the defective part immediately.
3.5.10

Speed sensing for one motor (option A51)

An SMC30 is used to monitor a motor.
3.5.11

Speed sensing for two motors (only starting converters) (option A52).

Two SMC30s are used to monitor two motors. This option includes the HUB 20.
3.5.12

Speed sensing for three motors (only starting converters) (option A53)

Three SMC30s are used to monitor three motors. This option includes the HUB 20.
