22. Remove the aerator from the end of the spout (see previous section for details).
WARNING
dissolved scale from within the PROBOIL tank during flushing, this must be avoided. With the aerator removed
you must expect the hot water stream to be unpredictable so rotate the spout to a safe position.
23. Turn on the 98°C water using the Hotkey, allow to run for at least 20 litres (use a large kitchen measuring jug or
pan to approximate) or until the water stream runs clear.
For maximum cleaning efficiency we recommend steps 1-10 (removing the proboil unit and inverting the boiler
to drain it) to remove the maximum amount of scale and debris from the tank then reconnecting it as described in
steps 14-17.
24. If dirt, debris or scale remain inside the tank then you can repeat the process steps 1-23 (as above) again if
needed.
25. Once completed reassemble the spout aerator (2) in the reverse order, you must ensure the aerator (2) is firmly
pushed into the spouts centre tube (4).
26. Should any residual minor taste or odour from the descale solution remain flush additional water through the
boiler until it subsides.
