2.4 Installing a 2.5" HDD

You can attach one enhanced Integrated Device Electronics (IDE) hard
disk drive to IPPC-9120G/9150G's internal controller which uses PCI
local bus interface. The advanced IDE controller supports faster data
tranfer and allows the IDE hard drive to exceed 528 MB. The following
instructions are for installation:
1. Unlock the back door and open it.
2. Unscrew the bolt in the center of the HDD-CDR kit (see figure
2.6).
3. Detach the CD-ROM flat cable.
4. Remove the six screws on the back case (see Fig. 2-6).
5. Unscrew 4 screws (2 at each side) that attach the M4 cushions to
the HDD.
6. Remove the HDD bracket from the HDD-CDR Kit.

7. Remove the two screws on the cover of the HDD bracket.
(see figure 2.9)
8. There are two HDD sponges in the accessory box. Please mount
these on the sides of the HDD for shock and vibration resistance.
(see fig 2.8)
9. Insert the HDD into the bracket and cover it.(see fig 2-8)
10. Fasten the two screws on the cover of the HDD bracket. Then put
the HDD bracket into the HDD-CDR Kit.
11. Fasten the four screws on the M4 cushions.
12. Put the HDD-CDR Kit into the chassis.
13. Fasten the six screws on the back case (see Fig. 2-6).
14. Attach the CD-ROM and HDD flat cable.
15. Fasten the bolt in the center of the HDD-CDR Kit.
16. Close the back door and lock it.
