12. When the take-up pulley is put at an angle, drop the take-up the pulley through the bottom of the
drive section. Slide the take-up pulley out of the belt routing.
13. Insert the replacement (new) take-up pulley through the belt routing. Lift up the take-up pulley into
the drive section and insert the ends of the take-up pulley through the take-up brackets.
14. Move the take-up brackets towards the upstream side of the conveyor (towards the motor).
15. Insert the take-up bearings on both sides of the take-up pulley. Do not tighten the set screws in
this step.
16. Install the (2) 1/2" hex head cap screw and hex nuts to each of the take-up bearings. The torque
requirement for the hex head cap screw and hex nut is 75 ft-lbs.
17. Ensure that the take-up pulley surface is centered within the drive section.
18. Ensure that the take-up pulley is square within the drive section using the take-up tensioner bolts.
19. Install the take-up pulley set screws. The torque requirement for the set screws is 13 ft-lbs.
20. Splice the ends of the belt. Refer to section 5.3 step 6 for further information.
21. Re-track and re-tension the belt. Refer to section 5.4 for further information.
22.
Re-install the underside cover of the drive section. The underside cover is installed to the drive
section via (8) 3/8" carriage bolts and serrated flange nuts. The torque requirements for the
carriage bolts and serrated flange nuts is 31 ft-lb.
