6.3 Electrical Maintenance Schedule
1. All Bastian Solutions' conveyor AC products typically operate using 460VAC 3 phase.
Check the motor nameplate prior to any electrical install.
2. For Dodge gearmotor electrical maintenance and installation instructions, refer to document
Dodge Quantis RHB Installation and Maintenance Instructions (499322).
3. If the BSBAC conveyor is experiencing any other electrical problems, contact Bastian Solutions
Customer Service at ConveyorSupport@bastiansolutions.com.
6.4 Tail Pulley Replacement
The following instructions outline the BSBAC 1 HP tail pulley replacement procedure.
1. Ensure that the power to the AC motor is switched off. Bastian Solutions recommends using
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for this operation.
2. Mark/measure the position of the tensioner rods on the drive section of the conveyor.
3. Loosen the take-up equally on both sides of the conveyor. This relaxes the belt tension across
the conveyor. To loosen the take-up pulley, move the take-up bearings towards the upstream
side of the conveyor.
4. Remove the 3/8" serrated flange nut on the bracket that holds the tail pulley on both sides of the
tail section. Figure 22 illustrates the location of the hardware on one side of the tail section.
5. Loosen the 3/8" nylock jam nut holding the tail pulley adjustment on the bracket on both sides of
the tail section. Figure 23 illustrates the location of the nylock jam nut on one side of the tail
section.
6. Remove the 3/8" hex head cap screw that holds the tail pulley in place from the pulley and the
bracket on both sides of the tail section. Figure 23 illustrates the hex head cap screw that holds
the tail pulley on one side of the tail section.
