12. Slide the pulley out of the belt routing.
13. Install the replacement (new) drive pulley in the same location as the old pulley to preserve belt
routing.
14. Push the drive pulley through the cut out of the drive section of the side frame. Refer to Figure 29.
15. Slide the drive pulley bearings through the drive pulley shaft. Do not tighten the set screws in
this step. Refer to Figure 28.
16. Position and install the bearings to the side frame. The hardware used for the bearings is 1/2" hex
head cap screws and split lock washers.
17. Slide the drive pulley to center it within the conveyor.
The shaft of the drive pulley will always be asymmetric. Ensure the pulley surface is
centered within the drive side frame. The longer side of the drive pulley shaft should
have a keyway and is on the side of the motor mount.
18. Once the drive pulley surface is centered within the drive section, install the setscrews for the
bearings. There are two set screws per bearing. The torque requirement for the set screw is 13 ft-
lbs.
19. Reinstall the drive pulley guard and the underside cover. Refer to steps 7 and 8 for hardware
information, and Figure 26 and Figure 27 for location and hardware information. The torque
requirement for the serrated flange nuts is 31 ft-lb. The 1/4" hex head cap screws can be installed
to a snug fit (use a power tool). Do not tighten to where the clip-on nuts are deformed.
20. Position the machine key on the drive shaft and slide the motor through the drive pulley shaft.
21. Install the torque arm to the teardrop sub assembly using the M8 shoulder bolt and nylock hex
nut. The torque requirements for the M8 shoulder bolt and nylock hex nut is 20 ft-lb.
22. Install the 7/16" hex head cap screw and the 3/8" retaining washers to the shaft end of the AC
motor gearbox. The torque requirement for the 7/16" hex head cap screw is 48 ft-lb.
