Cautions in Wiring

In wiring the OIS-DS and SVR-DS station, pay attention to the following items.

Power Supply

The power supply to OIS-DS and SVR-DS must meet the rating.
If the hardware platform of OIS-DS or SVR-DS has the switch for input voltage selection, please
set it to match input voltage.
If it is shared with apparatuses which tend to generate power noise such as welder and large
invertor apparatus or those with radical change in current consumption, there is a fear of
malfunction by detecting power abnormality. The power supply system should be separated
from that of these apparatuses.
Rated voltage
Current consumption : See the hardware specification of the PC or the workstation used.

Wiring

In order to prevent malfunction due to noise, the power cables and signal cables connected to the
OIS-DS and the SVR-DS main unit and optional board should not be placed adjacent to the
following cables and units.
• Cables for power
• Transformer
• High-voltage transmission line
• Transmitting antenna
• Welder
• Cables/units which tend to discharge strong electromagnetic field and noise
In the case of indoor installation, even when there is no generating source in the room, there may
be a cable duct under the floor or inside the wall or a transformer may be installed in the adjacent
room separated by the wall.
For this reason, due attention must be also paid to the ambient environment when installing.
