type, as Chicco BebèCare is solely intended to
be an aid and alarm to prevent events and/
or consequences caused by forgetfulness.

of serious injuries or death. The use of the
equipment does not in any way replace the
supervision and responsibility of the driver/
caregiver/supervisor/tutor or anyone who is
taking care of the baby.

SAFETY WARNINGS

• For the correct use of the car seat, please refer
to the instructions included in this manual.
• The sensors are built into the seat section.
• Chicco BebèCare functions only if the fabric
lining of the car seat adheres perfectly to the
body of the car seat.
• Chicco BebèCare only works if the layer be-
tween the sensor and the cover remains in its
original position (Fig. 38).
• After cleaning the fabric lining (CLEANING THE
FABRIC LINING), check that Chicco BebèCare
is functioning correctly.
• When performing cleaning or maintenance
operations, do not move and/or remove the
layer between the sensor and the cover (Fig. 38).
• Do not remove the Chicco BebèCare compo-
nents during car seat cleaning/maintenance.
The equipment may only be replaced if the
battery is low and according to the instructions
that will be provided by Customer Service.
• Make sure that the car seat does not come
into contact with any type of liquid. If liquid
comes into contact with the sensor positioned
on the seat and the wetting is limited, dry it
carefully and delicately clean the surface of the
sensor using a dry cloth. Do not move and/
or remove the layer between the sensor and
the cover at any time. Wait and check again
that Chicco BebèCare functions correctly. If it
does not work or in the case of doubt, contact
Customer Service.
• If the car seat comes into contact with any
type of liquid, Chicco BebèCare may stop to
work temporarily until the car seat has dried
completely.
• The correct storage of the car seat (apart of
daily use in the car) is important to maintain
the operation of Chicco BebèCare without any
changes and must respect the limits regarding
temperature (between -20°C and +60° C) and
humidity (< 95%).
• The use of any unapproved accessory does
not guarantee the correct operation of Chicco
BebèCare.
• The smartphone must be turned on and have
a sufficient battery charge for the period of use
when paired with Chicco BebèCare.
• During the first installation and each time
the family account is entered, an internet
connection must be available (mobile data
or WiFi network).
IMPORTANT:
• Chicco BebèCare only works together with
a smartphone that has the Chicco BebèCare
APP installed.
• If the smartphone is turned off, the Chicco
BebèCare system will not work.
• If the Bluetooth® is damaged, the Chicco Bebè-
Care system will not work.
• If there is no internet connection (mobile data
network or Wi-Fi), the alarm messages will not
be sent to the preset emergency contacts.
• If the layer between the sensor and the cover is
moved and/or removed, the Chicco BebèCare
system will not work.
• If airplane mode is activated, the Chicco Bebè-
Care system will not work.
• The Chicco BebèCare APP may only be down-
loaded from official stores.
• If there's no reception, Chicco BebèCare
activates the first-level Alarm correctly but
can't send alarm messages to the emergency
numbers (Second-Level Alarm).
