12.6 'ENERGY SAVING' FUNCTION

The machine features an 'Energy saving' function
(disabled by default) that allows setting it to energy
saving mode automatically after 90 minutes of
inactivity (neither coffee nor hot water are being
dispensed). The mode is divided into 4 different
phases (applied to all the units at the same time):
ECO 1: after one hour of inactivity, the setpoint of
pre-heating unit and boiler decreases by 50°F as
compared to their standard setpoint and the service
boiler sets to 246°F.
ECO 2: three hours after ECO 1, the setpoint of
pre-heating unit and boiler decreases by 68°F as
compared to their standard setpoint and the service
boiler sets to 212°F.
ECO 3: one hour after ECO 2, the setpoint of
pre-heating unit and boiler sets to 122°F and the
service boiler sets to 176°F; the cup warmer turns
off.
Then there is the ECO 4 phase, activated when
the service boiler temperature drops below 140°F,
which sets the boiler back to 176°F for cyclical
return to the ECO 3 phase.
All the unit displays show the current ECO phase of
the machine.
This mode can be exited with the time scheduler or
by shortly pressing the flashing button (C) of unit 1;
normal temperatures and cup warmer status will be
restored.
To enable this automatic function, access the unit
menu by pressing first the key (B) and then the key
(D), while still holding the key (B) down; the second
item of the menu is the "ECO" indication, use the
keys (A) and (C) to choose between OFF and ON
and the key (B) to confirm the selection. If ON is
selected, the machine display shows the "ECO"
indication as shown in the image:
