ADJUSTMENT
Remove the belt cover (page 11-2).
Set two V-belts [1] so that the V-belt joint area [2] is not
located between the drive pulley [3] and driven pulley
[4].
Squeeze the clutch lever [1] ten times.
Measure the free play at the clutch lever [1].
FREE PLAY:
2 – 3 mm (0.08 – 0.12 in)
If adjustment is necessary:
Loosen the lock nut [1] and adjust the clearance by
turning the adjusting bolt [2].
STANDARD CLEARANCE:
8 – 20 mm (0.3 – 0.8 in)
Recheck the free play.
After adjustment, tighten the lock nut securely.

Do not locate the joint
area in these areas.
