Observe the lifetime of the oxygen self-rescuer.

Maintenance work

4.1.1
Replacing the indicator window (67 33 647)
1. Carefully remove the defective indicator window using a screw
driver.
2. Insert the new indicator window into the indicator housing exerting
slight pressure.
4.1.2
Replacing the pictograph (63 33 682/67 33 910)
1. Remove the defective pictograph, e.g. with a razor blade. This
may be facilitated by heating the pictograph with a hairdryer.
2. Clean the surface using a degreasing agent.
3. Affix the new pictograph.

Replacing the bump protector (63 04 633)
1. Open the velcro latches and remove the old bump protector.
2. Mount the new bump protector.
Pay attention to the correct fitting of the bump protector.

Attaching the belt
Push the belt through the two
loops of the housing.

Transport
Oxygen self-rescuers are subject to international transport regulations
during transport. Unused oxygen self-rescuers are classed under
UN 3356 "Oxygen generator, chemical" Class 5.1, packing group II.
Used oxygen self-rescuers are classed under:
UN 3085,
Oxidizing
solid,
Superoxide, Potassium Hydroxide), Class 5.1, packing group I.

Storage
Store the oxygen self-rescuer in a cool, dry location. For the storage
temperature see chapter 8 on page 11.
