Special maintenance work

Check for leaks again after servicing and/or replacing parts.
We recommend that all repairs be conducted by Dräger.
7.7.1
Replacing gloves
(combination 1 – Viton and if fitted Tricotril)
1. Take off Tricotril glove (if fitted).
2. Lift edge of rubber flap with your fingertips. Push support
ring and Viton glove out of sleeve with the ball of your hand.
3. Pull Viton glove off support ring and arm cuff (if fitted).
4. Fit new Viton glove on support ring and arm cuff (if fitted)
until bead on glove protrudes over upper edge of support
ring.
5. Push glove with support ring and arm cuff (if fitted) through
opened fastener system and into sleeve of chemical
protective suit.
6. Push glove through rubber flap at edge of sleeve and align:
The left glove is placed in the left sleeve, the right glove in
the right sleeve. The palm of the glove combination points
towards the seam of the sleeve. The long axis of the
elliptical support ring is parallel to the palm of the glove.
7. Reach into the sleeve and press the glove with support ring
and arm cuff (if fitted) into the rubber flap until the bottom
edge of the support ring rests against the edge of the
rubber flap.
8. Put on the Tricotril glove (if applicable): Pull overglove
gauntlet over both beads of the glove arm ring and fix with
rubber ring.
7.7.2
Replacing gloves
(combination 2 – Silvershield and Tricotril)
1. Lift edge of rubber flap with your fingertips. Push support
ring with glove combination out of the sleeve with the ball
of your hand.
2. Pull sleeve cuff off the support ring (if fitted).
3. Attach the sleeve cuff with double-sided adhesive tape on
the support ring of the new glove combination (if fitted).
4. Push glove combination and arm cuff (if fitted) through
opened fastener system into sleeve of chemical protective
suit.
5. Push glove combination through rubber flap at edge of
sleeve and align: The left glove is placed in the left sleeve,
the right glove in the right sleeve. The palm of the glove
combination points towards the seam of the sleeve. The

of the glove.
6. Reach into the sleeve and press the glove combination and
arm cuff (if fitted) into the rubber flap until the bottom edge

(combination 3 – Silvershield, Butyl and K-Mex
Gigant)
1. Remove overglove.
2. Lift edge of rubber flap with your fingertips. Push support
ring with glove combination out of the sleeve with the ball
of your hand.
3. Pull sleeve cuff off the support ring (if fitted).
4. Attach the sleeve cuff with double-sided adhesive tape on
the support ring of the new glove combination (if fitted).
5. Push glove combination and arm cuff (if fitted) through
opened fastener system into sleeve of chemical protective
suit.
6. Push glove combination through rubber flap at edge of
sleeve and align: The left glove is placed in the left sleeve,
the right glove in the right sleeve. The palm of the glove
combination points towards the seam of the sleeve. The

of the glove.
7. Reach into the sleeve and press the glove combination and
arm cuff (if fitted) into the rubber flap until the bottom edge

8. Pull overglove gauntlet over both beads of the glove arm

7.7.4
Replacing a scratch proof visor
1. Remove old scratch proof visor.
2. If necessary, remove left-over adhesive.
CAUTION
!
Do not use any pointed or sharp objects or any
solvents so as not to damage the visor!
Generally, the adhesive can be wiped off with your
thumb.
3. Remove protection film from one side of the adhesive pads
and position adhesive pads on the old adhesive points.
4. Remove protection film from the second side of the
adhesive pads.
5. Center new scratch proof visor and press it firmly onto the
adhesive pads.
7.7.5
Replacing a valve disc
1. Remove protective cap and old valve disc. Do not damage
the pin on the valve housing.
2. Fit new valve disc and check suit valve for leaks.
