7.Detailed Descriptions

Mechanism

Drive
The duplex motor [B] feeds out paper to the output tray in single-sided mode and also feeds paper to
the duplex path in duplex mode. When a sheet of paper is detected by the paper exit sensor [C] in
duplex mode, the duplex motor stops and rotates in reverse. The paper exit roller [A] feeds the sheet of
paper to the duplex path. The duplex transport roller [D], which is driven by the duplex motor through
the timing belt, transports the sheet of paper to the registration roller.
Duplex Operation
There is no interleaving. The printing is done as shown above: 2nd side of 1st page
