The position of transmitter and receiver aerial to each other very strongly influences range. It is best when both the
transmitter and receiver aerial are vertical. If you point the transmitter aerial at the vehicle, the range will be very
short!
• Check the correct position of the speed controller and steering servo plugs in the receiver. If the plugs are inserted
rotated by 180°, the speed controller and steering servo will not work.
If, however, the speed controller and steering servo plugs are swapped, the throttle/brake lever controls the steering
servo, and the wheel controls driving!
• Are the servo and speed controller plugs connected in the right orientation? At incorrect orientation (if the plugs were
plugged in twisted by 180°) no control signals reach the speed controller or steering servo from the receiver.
The vehicle does not stop when the throttle/brake lever is released
• Correct the driving trimming on the transmitter (setting neutral position).
• If the trimming path is not sufficient, reprogram the neutral and full throttle positions; see chapter 10 a).
• If the vehicle had an accident, check the steering mechanics and repair them.
The vehicle slows down or the steering servo shows only slight or no reaction; the range between transmitter
and vehicle is very short
• The drive batteries are weak or discharged.
The receiver power supply and thus also the power supply of the steering servo is achieved through the speed
controller BEC. Therefore, weak or discharged drive batteries will cause the receiver to no longer work properly.
Replace the drive batteries with new, fully charged ones (before inserting a new drive battery, wait at least 5 - 10
minutes until motor and speed controller have cooled down sufficiently).
• Check the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter.
The vehicle doesn't drive in a straight line correctly
• Set straight driving at the transmitter using the respective trimming control for the steering function.
• Check the steering rods, the servo arm and its screw connections or the wheel alignment setting.
• Did your car have an accident? If so, check the vehicle for any defective or broken parts and replace them.
Steering works opposite to the way the turning wheel is turned at the transmitter
• Activate the steering reverse setting at the transmitter.
Driving works opposite to the movement of the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter
• Usually, the vehicle should drive forwards if you pull the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter towards the handle. If
this is not the case, activate the reverse setting for the driving function at the transmitter.
The steering is not functioning or is functioning incorrectly, steering deflection at the vehicle insufficient
• If the transmitter offers dual rate settings, check these settings (observe transmitter's operating instructions). If the
dual rate setting is too low, the steering servo will no longer react.
• Check the steering mechanics for loose parts; e.g. check if the servo arm is properly attached to the servo.
