Installing a Microprocessor

The system board comes with two zero-insertion force (ZIF)-type CPU
sockets. Follow these steps to install a Pentium CPU in a ZIF-type
upgrade socket:
Read the ESD Precautions before you
unpack and install the CPU.
Make sure that the system power is off
before you install any component.
1.
Locate the CPU sockets on the motherboard.
2.
Attach the heatsink and the fan to the CPU. Secure the fan with
the required screws. The fan prevents the CPU from overheating
and the heatsink dissipates the excess heat.
