Error messages

Error
When starting the "Spark
Analyzer Pro MAXx"
software, the instrument
switches into DEMO mode.
Safety check.
An error has occurred whilst
attempting to access the
spectrometer (Plasma
generator is switched off,
measurement could not be
started).
Check the condition of the
spectrometer.
An error has occurred during
spectrometer access (clamp
up, measurement could not
be started). Check the
condition of the
spectrometer.

Cause
Communication
The connection between the
PC and the spectrometer is
interrupted.
Instrument without power.
The safety circuit has not
been activated within the
last 5 minutes.
Plasma generator is not
switched on.
Insufficient argon supply.
Safety circuit not closed.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Exit the "Spark Analyzer Pro
MAXx" software.
Disconnected the
spectrometer from the power
for a short time. After a
waiting period of approx. 60
sec., restart the "Spark
Analyzer Pro MAXx"
software.
Connect the spectrometer
and the PC with the network
cable.
Check the power supply.
Acknowledge the message.
Move the clamp up for
approx. 1 second.
Switch on the Plasma
generator.
Confirm by pressing "OK".
Check the argon supply:
Pre-pressure (4.8 – 5.0 bar
(69.6 – 72.5 psi)) and
available quantity.
The function circuit "Clamp –
Sample – Spark stand" is
not closed. Ensure electric
contact is provided.
