Changing Manifolds

The inlet and outlet manifolds can be rotated to three po-
sitions to best suit your installation needs. The pump is
shipped with the inlet facing down and the outlet facing
the muffler.
T O CHANGE THE POSITION (See Fig 10)
1. Remove the four nuts (37) and bolts (36) from each
end of the manifold (2).
2. Turn the manifold to the desired position, and rein-
stall the bolts and nuts. T
(2.3–2.8 N.m).
NOTE: If the manifold is dif ficult to rotate, loosen the
nuts (15) holding the v–clamps (6). Retighten af-
ter turning the manifold.
T O CHANGE T O A DUAL MANIFOLD (See Fig 11)
1. If you are changing just one manifold, remove the
four nuts (37) and bolts (36) from each end of that
manifold (2). Then remove the four nuts (37) and
bolts (36) from one side of the other manifold. Re-
move the nut (15), bolt (14) and v–clamp (6) from the
same side of the pump. Pull of f one cover (1). Re-
move the manifold.
2. To change both manifolds, follow Step 1, except re-
move the nuts and bolts from both ends of both mani-
folds.

3. Install the dual manifold, with the ports facing the de-
sired direction. Reassemble the pump. T orque the
bolts (36) to 20–25 in–lb (2.3–2.8 N.m).
