16.4 Connecting the data transfer cable
1. Plug the 9-pin female D-type connector on one end of the data transfer
cable into the COM port
2. Plug the 5-pin connector on the other end of the data transfer cable into the
RS232 connector at the rear of the Covermeter located under the access
cover - see "Computer interface" on page 13.
3. Switch on the Covermeter and ensure that the Reading Screen is
displayed.
s. An RS232 to USB transfer cable is available which allows you to connect your
Covermeter to a USB port on your computer. See "Accessories" on page 65 for
ordering details.
