5.1.4 Automatic feed

The position of the adjusting knob
where the automatic feed takes place. It should take place immediately in front of the specimen.
Caution
The automatic feed is only effective up to a section thickness of 30 μm. All values set beyond that are
not defined.
• To adjust the automatic feed, move the blade/knife
(→ Fig. 27-3)
and lock it in this position using the locking knob
• Loosen the adjusting button
in this position.
• For exact work with the automatic feed, the knife sledge must be moved past the position of the
adjusting knob.
