Running the BIOS Setup Program

To operate properly, an FRX6000's BIOS (basic input/output
system) needs to know the basic hardware and software configu-
ration: types of disk drives, processing speed, etc. A setup program
records this configuration and stores it in battery-backed memory.
The BIOS is configured before a node is shipped to the customer. If
you change the configuration (e.g., replacing the hard disk with one
of a different type), run the setup program to record the change(s).
1. Switch the unit on. When (after a few seconds)
+ S> to enter Setup after Memory Check
of the screen, press (simultaneously)
system memory has been checked, a screen similar to the fol-
lowing will be displayed.
