The XPS oil is specially formulated to
meet the lubrication requirements of
this gearbox. BRP strongly recom-
mends the use of its XPS oil. How-
ever, if the XPS synthetic gear oil is
not available,

1. Place the vehicle on a level
surface.
2. Tilt the cargo box to ease access.
3. Clean the following areas.
– Drain plug area

oil
use the following
– Vehicle speed sensor (VSS)
area
– Dipstick area.
4. Place a drain pan underneath the
oil drain plug area.
5. Remove the dipstick.
6. Remove the drain plug.
7. Let oil completely drain from
gearbox.
8. Install the drain plug.

Clean drain plug from any metallic
particles prior to installation.

9. Remove the VSS.
