• First rinse all components briefly under running tap water.
This must be done especially thoroughly if cleaning and dis-
infection are not carried out straight away.

5.4 Cleaning and disinfection

Generally, a mechanical process (instrument dishwasher)
should be used for cleaning and disinfection.
NOTICE
When selecting the cleaning agent and/or disinfectant, en-
sure that it is compatible with the materials used, otherwise
damage to the product components cannot be ruled out.
Mechanical cleaning and disinfection
EQUIPMENT
– Cleaning and disinfection device in conformance with
DIN EN ISO 15883
– Cleaning agent
– Neutralising agent if necessary
PROCEDURE
• Arrange the components so that they can be cleaned most
effectively.
The inhalation chamber must be held upright.
• Select a suitable cleaning programme and agent.
In rare cases, cleaning in the instrument dishwasher can
cause discolouration of the aluminium. This is harmless
and does not impair the functioning of the VORTEX.
