4.3 Installing expansion modules
Uninstall the cellular module
1. Open the top housing.
2. Disconnect the feed lines with the antenna connectors of the cellular module.
3. Pull the two lockers of the cellular module in the marked direction to loosen the cellular
module.
4. Remove the cellular module and close the top housing.

Connecting the antenna

Risk of lightning strikes when installed outdoors
If you install an antenna outside, you need to ground the antenna to protect it from
lightning strikes. This work must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
NOTICE
Damage to devices due to incorrect accessories
Select the antenna suitable for your frequency band from the accessories. Other antennas
could interfere with product characteristics or lead to defects.
NOTICE
Every module must be equipped with a proper antenna with the specified characteristics.
The antenna must be installed with care to avoid any interference with other electronic
devices and must be installed with the guarantee of a minimum 20 cm distance from a
human body.
The CIM has three antenna sockets of the type SMA for connecting the antennas. The
antennas must have an impedance of approx. 50 Ω.
Follow the operating instructions of the antennas used.
