7.2 Certificates and approvals
• This equipment is suitable for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D; Class I, Zone 2,
Group IIC; or non-hazardous locations.
• WARNING: EXPOSURE TO SOME CHEMICALS MAY DEGRADE THE SEALING PROPERTIES OF
MATERIALS USED IN THE RELAYS.
IECEx
The LOGO! CIM meet the requirements of explosion protection according to IECEx.
IECEx classification: Ex ec IIC T4 Gc
IECEx certificate: IECEx UL 21.0076X
The CIM meets the requirements of the following standards:
• IEC 60079-0, Edition 7 + Corr. 1
Hazardous areas - Part 0: Equipment - General requirements
• IEC 60079-7, Edition 5.1
Explosive atmospheres - Part 7: Equipment protection by increased safety «e»
Specific Conditions of Use:
• The equipment shall only be used in an area of at least pollution degree 2, as defined in
IEC 60664-1.
• The equipment shall be installed in an enclosure that provides a minimum ingress
protection of IP 54 in accordance with IEC 60079-0 and accessible only by the use of a
tool.
• Transient protection shall be provided that is set at a level not exceeding 140 % of the
peak rated voltage value at the supply terminals to the equipment.
• Antenna shall be installed within the end use enclosure. Routing and remote installation
(not evaluated as part of this certification) of the antenna shall be in accordance with the
appropriate location regulations when installed in unclassified and/or zone 2 Hazardous
Locations.
ATEX
The LOGO! CIM meets the requirements of the EC directive 2014/34/EU "Equipment and
Protective Devices for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres".
