ARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

WARNING
Regular inspection is recommended not only for keeping the performance, but also for keeping the safety. In
1)
order to avoid serious accident on ride-on type machine, follow the maintenance chart to inspect at every
use and every month, and ask your dealer to inspect at least once a year.
After the adjustment, lock the parking brake pedal and place driving clutch lever at OFF position, and push

the machine forward/backward to make sure if machine does not start moving on slope.
CAUTION
Contact your dealer for following service.
Brake is a consumable part. If parking brake cannot be adjusted as per this instruction, it is possible that
1)
brake shoe is worn out. For safety, replace the brake show in less than 100 hours of use.
Driving belt and blade belt are consumable parts. If something is wrong, replace to new one. Make adjustment
2)
at first 10 hours and later at each 50 hours of use.

Parking brake is located in rear left side of transmission. Park-

ing brake can be adjusted by adjust nut of brake wire. Adjust
nut
nut is located in parking brake pedal side in figure(left).
For adjustment, loosen the lock nut so that rear wheel is
locked when parking brake pedal is fully pressed(=when pe-
dal is locked by stopper). Then move the adjust nut in direc-
tion of arrow. Normally, length of brake spring is about 60mm.
After adjustment, securely tighten with lock nut.

Move the speed lever to N position.

Loosen the lock nut on turn buckle linked with speed lever, then

turn it to adjust.
If machine slightly moves forward,
-Move the turn buckle toward A.
If machine slightly moves backward,
-Move the turn buckle toward B.
After this adjustment, securely tighten the lock nut.
