MACH/AIRSPEED INDICATOR

The Mach/airspeed indicator is shown in Figure 3--2.
The Mach/airspeed indicator has the following features:
Pointer display of computed airspeed in knots (white pointer)

Pointer display of maximum allowable airspeed (V

(striped pointer)
Counter drum display of Mach
D
Airspeed bugs on the bezel ring that the pilot can set to critical

airspeeds
A failure monitor control for the maximum allowable airspeed (V
D
failure flag, and airspeed failure (OFF) flag.
NOTE:
A failure that affects maximum allowable airspeed
displays the V
or both airspeed and maximum allowable airspeed,
displays the OFF flag.
