Wake-Up On Internal Modem (WOM)

Through the Wake-Up On Internal Modem function, the system w hich is in the pow er-off

status c an be pow ered on by a ring signal r eceived fr om the inter nal modem. If this

function is to be us ed, be sure an internal modem card w hich supports this function is

used. Then connect this header to the relevant connector on the modem card, set "Wake-

Up by LAN/Ring" to Enabled in the " POWER MANAGEMENT SETUP" section of the BIOS.

Save & exit, then boot the operating system once to make sure this function takes effect.

CDLIN is a Sony standar d CD audio connector, it c an be connected to a CD-ROM dr ive

through a CD audio cable. The MODEM c onnector allow s the onboard audio to interface

w ith a voice modem c ard w ith a similar connector. It also allow s the sharing of mono_in

(such as a phone) and mono_out (such as a speaker) betw een the onboard audio and the

voice modem c ard.

This connector allow s you to connect SMBus devices. SMBus devices communicate by

means of the SMBus w ith an SMBus host and/or other SMBus dev ices. The SMBus or

Sy stem Management Bus is a specif ic implementation of an I

C bus, w hich is a multi-

master bus, that is, multiple chips can be connected to the same bus and each one can act

as a master by initiating data transfer.
