Important Notes:

1. INSTALLATION FOR POLARITY SENSITIVE VALVES
The DPC-2 is usually connected to non-polarity-sensitive solenoids using the ITW
Dynatec Output Kit (L21754) supplied as a part of the DPC-2 Control Unit Kit. As such,
it is not important to which terminal the two wires of the Output Kit cables are
connected.
Polarity Sensitive solenoids, such as ITW Dynatec P/N 030A057 require attention to the
manner in which the Output Kit wires are connected. It is imperative that the White Wire
be connected to the solenoid's "positive" (+) terminal and the Black Wire be connected
to the "negative" (-) terminal. Failure to do so will render the solenoid valve inoperative
and may cause damage to both the DPC-2 Control Unit and the solenoid valve.
2. INSTALLATION OF SERVO ADAPTER CABLE (106609)
Polarity must be observed when connecting the Servo Output Adapter Cable (106609) to
a pressure transducer or 0 to 10 VDC Driver Board. Failure do do so could result in
possible damage to the pressure control device. The proper wiring is provided below:
The cable is shielded to protect it from spurious emissions. The integrity of this shield
should be kept intact if the cable is modified in the field.
CAUTION: Servo Adapter Cable (106609) should only be used in 0 to 10 VDC
servo output modes if the DC Driver Card it is controlling has a minimum
isolation of 1,000 VDC to Internal Voltage Common and to Chassis Ground.
ITW Dynatec "S" and "M" series ASU's provide this isolation, however older
version ASU's do not. Adhesive Supply Control Kit (L21749) should be used in
place of Servo Adapter Cable (106609) when external voltage isolation is
required.
3. PRESSURE TRANSDUCER (105754) INSTALLATION
The Pressure Transducer (105754) is used as a means of regulating glue pressure in cold
glue systems and on hot melt adhesive supply units possessing piston pumps. Below is
provided wiring information of the Adapter Cable (106609) to the Pressure Transducer
(105754).
