About This Guide
This guide provides an overview of the Alcatel-Lucent 7705 Service Aggregation Router
(SAR-F chassis), recommendations for preparing the site, procedures for installing and
grounding the router in a standard 19-inch utility rack, and instructions for connecting and
provisioning the router.
After the hardware installation process is completed, refer to the 7705 SAR OS
documentation set (listed below) for details on the boot process, software configuration, and
Command Line Interface (CLI) information to configure system and network parameters.
