About This Guide

This guide provides an overview of the Alcatel-Lucent 7705 Service Aggregation Router
SAR-M chassis, recommendations for preparing the site, procedures for installing and
grounding the router in a standard 19-inch utility rack, and instructions for connecting and
provisioning the router.
After the hardware installation process is completed, refer to the 7705 SAR-M
documentation set (listed below) for details on the boot process, software configuration, and
Command Line Interface (CLI) information to configure system and network parameters.
