2. Introduction

2.1. General

The Inobooth is an enclosure in which the powder projection is carried out.
The parts are conveyed through the booth. When they pass in front of the projectors, they are
covered with powder.
Optional manual powder coating stations are available for retouching or pre-touching the
parts to be painted.
The booth rests on support feet adjusted in height so that the booth floor is horizontal.

2.2. Movement of the parts

The detection gantry, installed upstream of the booth, allows:
• The triggering of the automatic projection of powder
• The measurement of the size of the incoming part in order to optimize the projection dis-
tance and the number of projectors to be activated.

2.3. Powder projection

The powder projectors enter the booth through vertical or circular slots in the side structural
panels. They are supplied with powder by the central supply unit or any other powder con-
tainer, and set in motion by mechanized systems.
Optional manual powder coating stations (dedicated compartments placed at the entrance
and/or exit) are provided. When the guns are not in use, they must be housed in the opening
provided for this purpose.
During the projection phase, the powder not deposited on the parts is sucked off and sent to
the cyclone. It is sieved and then re-injected into the system's distributor tank.
The profile of the bottom of the booth allows a homogeneous distribution of the ventilation and
to reduce the speeds in the projection area to improve the application efficiency.

2.4. Cleaning phase

The powder deposited on the inner panels of the booth is cleaned by the operator using a
compressed air lance.
The powder projectors are cleaned by means of the blowing ramps.
All excess powder is sucked out through the suction duct and recycled.

2.5. (Option) Manual station

The Inobooth can optionally be equipped with one or two manual powder coating stations
located at the ends of the booth.
