    CHAPTER 2 Overview of SETU VFXTH SETU VFXTH is a gateway that provides voice services over IP network using SIP protocol. It is an effective and flexible solution for accessing internet based telephone services and corporate intranet systems across established LAN.
  • Page 10 To connect 24VDC, 2.5A power adapter. a. If your SETU VFXTH supports only FXO Ports (SETU VFXTH3200), P01 to P32 will be used to connect PSTN lines or a PBX. However, if you system supports both FXO and FXS Ports (SETU VFXTH0808) then P01 to P08 (FXO Ports) will be used to con- nect PSTN lines or a PBX and P09 to P16 (FXS Ports) will be used to connect telephone instruments or a Fax Machine or a PBX.

If you need to change the IP Address and the Subnet Mask of the Ethernet Port of SETU VFXTH, you may do so by dialing System Commands from the telephone connected to the FXS Port. It is also possible to view the current IP Address and Subnet Mask of the Ethernet Port by dialing System Commands from the telephone connected to the FXS Port.

    Ensure that the Routing Group configured for calls received on the SIP Trunk is 'FXS Port'. When remote caller calls SIP Trunk of SETU VFXTH, the call is routed to the FXS Port and the telephone instrument connected to that FXS Port starts ringing.

    Basic Settings CHAPTER 4 The Basic Settings enable you to configure SETU VFXTH for basic functions. You will be able to operate and use the system efficiently, when you configure Basic Settings. To configure Basic Settings, • Click the Basic Settings link.

    Click Region. • In the Region list, click the name of the country where SETU VFXTH is installed. Default: India. When you change Region, an alert message will appear on the screen “Changing Region shall assign default values to all parameters of the system. Do you want to continue?” Click OK. All country specific parameters will be assigned default values.

During this time, no digit is dialed by the system on the FXO Port. This is used when the exchange takes some time to detect that the FXO Port is Off-hook.
