Note
Impact of vibrations at installation site on the measured signal
When you use OXYMAT 7 and/or ULTRAMAT 7 analyzer modules, vibrations, especially in
the frequency range from 6 Hz to 15 Hz, can influence the measured signal.
• Select an installation location which is vibration-free.
• If necessary, change the measuring frequency settings:
– Make sure that the measuring frequencies do not match the fundamental of the
– You must also ensure that the measuring frequency is not the same as half the
Note
Enable analog and digital outputs
If you subsequently install an option module 2.1, you must enable the analog and digital
outputs using SIMATIC PDM after restarting:
1. Establish a connection between SIMATIC PDM and the analyzer.
You may have to log on at the Expert level.
2. Navigate to: Parameter group overview > Properties > Device
3. For the "Option module 2.1" parameter, set the value "Yes".
4. Transfer the modified parameter assignment to the device.

Sample gas and reference gas quality
Note
Gas preparation
The analysis chamber may be contaminated if you do not prepare the gas for the measuring
task. This may result, among other things, in a measured value error and all the way to
failure of the analyzer.
● The sample gas/reference gas must be free of dust and condensation.
● Position the corresponding absorption filter before the device in order to filter out
corrosive components or components which interfere with measuring.
