SERVICE MANUAL
In some case, there may be interference between brake and front frame. That will impede the correct adjustment of the brake.
There are two solution to that problem.
Move the rear wheel backward (more prudential setting)
Cut off approx. 5 mm the point of the front bolt of the brake, slightly squeeze the thread with a pincers, spread some strong thread lock glue
and screw the bolt hard. No need of the nut. See also chapter "brake spacing".
Sport brakes
The adjustment of the sport brake is the same except for:
The distance D, in fact, in its resting position, the brake is far from away from the tyre. Just make a few tries.
The additional brake support O that can slide along the slot of the plate A.
When you loosen the bolts A, you have to hold the nuts E with a spanner.
You can adjust the brake position by sliding its rod through the support O after loosening the grab screw P.
You can assemble the supports O facing either frontward or backwards by exchanging the right support with
the left and vice-versa.
To remove the support, screw off the nuts E. then loosen the grab screw P and slide the brake off. Repeat the same operation for both
sides. Now, mount the supports oriented opposite than before making sure to fit the two spacers Q.
Tighten the bolts and nut A and E with the support O all in front or at rear along the slot of the plate B.
Insert and adjust the brake; then tighten the grab screw P.
