Restore Factory Settings
You can restore the factory settings on the NCS 1004. The entire system configuration, including usernames,
passwords, and IP addresses, is removed. You can perform this operation only through the console port and
not on the management interface. To restore NCS 1004 to factory settings, use the commit replace command.
After the commit replace operation completes, you must perform the IOS XR reload operation.
The commit best-effort command merges the target configuration with the running configuration and commits
only valid changes (best effort). Some configuration changes might fail due to semantic errors.

RP/0/RP0/CPU0:ios#configure
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:ios(config)#commit replace
