8. Inserting / replacing battery, charging rechargeable battery

a) Insert battery in the pulse rate monitor, changing battery

Batteries need to be changed if the product does not display any pulse rate information.
1. Open the battery compartment on the pulse rate monitor by turning the battery compartment lid
(8) counter clockwise slightly until the arrow symbol on the battery compartment lid (8) points to
the '►' marking on the pulse rate monitor (' ' = closed, '►' = open).
2. Remove the old battery and insert a new battery of 'CR2032' type observing the correct polarity.
The plus ('+') pole has to point outwards towards you.
When inserting the battery make sure that one side of the battery is guided fi rst below
the small retaining hook, then the battery can be inserted.
3. Place the battery compartment lid (8) again, observe the arrow marking.
4. Lock the battery compartment lid (8) by turning it slightly to the right until the arrow symbol on
the battery compartment lid (8) points to the ' ' marking on the pulse rate monitor.

b) Charging the pulse watch battery

The pulse watch has a rechargeable battery that you can charge by inserting the USB cable supplied
into a free USB slot on a computer.
