e) Functions with pulse rate monitoring

Once the pulse rate monitor is set up, it automatically sends the measured pulse rate to the pulse
watch. When you start a workout, the pulse watch automatically searches for the radio signal from the
pulse rate monitor (display lines fl ash and the pulse rate is displayed after a short while). The pulse
rate is saved with the workout data.
One of the four workout goals 'Health', 'Fat Burn', Aerobics and User (user-defi ned) is assigned to
each workout. An upper and lower pulse rate is defi ned for each of these workout goals. On evalua-
tion after a workout, you can see how often you crossed or fell short of these limit values during the
workout. You can customize the limit values of the workout goals.
Changing the workout goal
You can change the current workout goal at any time. For this purpose, proceed as follows:
• The pulse watch must display the main display of one of the four modes (Compass, Time, Workout,
Navigation mode). It must not display a sub-menu for settings.
• Hold down the 'MODE' (2) key for 3 seconds until 'Menu:' is displayed.
With the 'ST. / STP' (3) and 'LAP / RESET' (5) keys select the individual menu items,
with the 'VIEW' (4) key you can go to the respective sub-menus or change the status
of the respective setting. With the 'MODE' (3) key, return to the previous menu.
• Select 'Menu:' → 'HRM' → 'HR Zone' → 'Select'.
• Press the 'ST. / STP' (3) and 'LAP / RESET' (5) keys to change the workout goals ('Health', 'Fat
Burn', 'Aerobics' and 'User').
• Press the 'VIEW' (4) key to select a workout goal.
