If the drive exhibits excessive losses or reactive power, the NXG I/O digital output (M1-DOUT) is
opened and the dedicated NXG I/O digital output (IDO-15) is closed as a one-shot pulse that
latches the LFR coil. This action causes the Normally Closed (N.C.) LFR contact to OPEN.
MV IP Breaker Enable
The MV IP Breaker Enable contact must be integrated with input switchgear to deactivate the
drive input medium voltage up on the rare event of a secondary circuit fault.
• Contacts close = Permissive to close breaker
• Contacts open = Trip breaker
Failure to integrate this contact as specified may cause death, serious personal injury and
damage to the drive.
Given the amperage rating of the components used in the coordinated input protection scheme,
an additional customer pilot relay may be required.
When relay K41 is provided, the Input Protection Interface is wired directly to relay K41. The
permissive and trip contacts are provided for use as shown below.
