10.7.5

Replacing the Control Fuse (6SR5 40-260A, 9-cell)

The control fuses are located inside the Blower Control section of the VFD. Refer to Figure "VFD
Cabinet (front view)" shown in the section in this manual titled "Unlocking the Doors".
To replace the control fuse:
1. Power down the system as detailed in Chapter "VFD Power Down and Door Access", section
"Unlocking the Doors".
2. Power down all low voltage feeds (24 V- 600 V) to the drive.
3. Place the control power disconnect switch (CBDSI / Q3), located in the blower control circuit,
into the OPEN position. Follow the site requirements for Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
Note
All control fuses are installed in fuse holders that provide a visual indication of open fuses.
4. Use an appropriately sized AC voltage detector to ensure that all power is removed to the
fuses being serviced.
Note
The drive can accommodate up to a 600 V
5. Open the fuse holder and replace the fuse with a suitably rated spare fuse.
Note
Use customer specific documentation to identify both the voltage and current rating of the
fuse
6. Close the fuse holder and check the resistance with an ohm meter to validate that a proper
connection has been made.

Replacing the Door-Mounted Keypad

To replace the door-mounted keypad:
1. Switch off the main circuit breaker.
2. Open the cabinet.
3. Disconnect the power and communications connection and the 9-pin connector from the
keypad.
4. Unscrew the seven mounting screws.
5. Pull the keypad out to the front.
