PRIOR TO FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging material.
• Before using for the first time, or after
prolonged storage without use, wash any
parts that will come into contact with food.
• To remove any metal residue that may
inadvertently remain after manufacturing, we
recommend that you fit the scroll (16), knife
(9) and meat screen (3) in the meat grinder
body and run the appliance for two minutes
with out adding any food. Repeat with each
meat screen. When finished, clean the
accessories before use.
USING THE MEAT GRINDER
Assembly
1. Place the motor section (22) on a flat
surface, e.g. a kitchen counter, and make
sure it is standing firmly.
2. Fit the two washers (15) onto the scroll axle
(thick end). Fit the plastic washer first. Next,
fit the metal washer.
3. Fit the scroll in the grinder body.
4. Fit the knife onto the scroll connection.
The sharp edges of the knife should point
towards the meat screen.
5. Fit one of the three meat screens on top of
the knife. Turn the meat screen, so the two
pins are aligned with the indentations on the
grinder body.
o Select the meat screen for the required
consistency. You can choose fine,
medium and coarse.
6. Fit the ring nut (7) over the meat screen on
the grinder body. Turn clockwise to lock. The
ring nut must hold the meat screen securely
in place. But do not over tighten.
7. Loosen the locking screw (2) on the
appliance.
8. Fit the grinder body in the appliance
accessory socket (21) and tighten securely
by turning the locking screw.
9. Fit the meat tray (14) onto the grinder so that
the wide part is positioned over the motor
section of the appliance.
10. The appliance is now ready for use.
Grinding Meat
1. Cut your meat into smaller pieces, so the
pieces fit into the feeding tube (18). Dice or
cut into approx. 2.5 cm wide strips.
2. Put the pieces onto the tray.
3. Place a bowl or similar under the grinder
body opening.
4. Switch on the appliance by switching the on/
off button (1) to "ON".
5. The meat pieces travel down the feeding
tube. Push down carefully with the tamper
(19). Do not press too hard, otherwise you
may damage the appliance.
6. When finished, switch off the appliance by
switching the on/off button (1) to "OFF".
7. Switch off the appliance at the switch and
unplug it before you change the accessories,
or before you take the appliance apart or
when not in use.
IMPORTANT!
• Do not leave the appliance running for more
than 15 minutes at a time. After 15 minutes,
allow the appliance to cool down for 30
minutes to avoid overheating.
• Always remove bone, gristle, tendons, and
rind before grinding the meat.
• Frozen food must be thoroughly defrosted
before grinding.
• If using the appliance to chop nuts, you
must only chop a few nuts at a time in the
appliance and wait until the chopped pieces
have been collected by the scroll before
continuing.
Using the sausage adapter
You can make sausages with or without sausage
skin. If your sausages are skinless, just roll them
in breadcrumbs or flour before cooking.
• If you are using skin, soak it in cold water for
30 minutes first.
1. Fit the two washers onto the scroll axle (thick
end). Fit the plastic washer first, followed by
the metal washer.
