5.2. Learning the gear ratio (aipm)

The KFM LD drive is designed for different car door. For doors with a different drive gear ratio. The gear ratio
(aipm in impulses per cm) must first be learned by the controller.
Setting:
For this purpose, the HEX2 switch must be in the D, E or F position. This setting must not be changed later
(not even during operation), as otherwise the learned gear ratio changes!
The prerequisites listed in Chap. 5.1 on page 29 must be satisfied.
Changing the gear ratio is not permitted for glass doors, as the EN81-20/50 standards can otherwise by
circumvented.
Procedure:
Press button T1 for 10s until LEDs H2 (yellow) and H3 (green) flash briefly. After you release the button, LED
H1 also blinks.
The fast door panel must now move exactly 250 mm (T door) and 500 mm (Z door) in the CLOSE direction
(OPEN is also possible).
After the button is actuated again, the display of LEDs H1, H2 and H3 change to being permanently lit and
aipm is calculated. If the value is plausible, it is stored after 5 s, followed by a RESET; otherwise, an error mes-
sage with flashing red LED H4 is output, see Chap. 5.5 on page 33.
