6.1. Drive maintenance

The motor is maintenance free. For safety reasons, the following checks and cleaning work should be per-
formed on the drive:
Check the tension of the driving belts and readjust if necessary.
Check the driving belts and rope pulleys for damage and wear, replace if required.
Check all moving parts for ease of movement.
Check the mounting of the connections and connecting lines and make sure they are not damaged.
Remove belt abrasion and soiling.
Observe the sequence of movement of the door. If there is cause for complaint, correct the setting by
changing the HEX switching position or use the service program.
Note !
The bearings of the door drive must not be oiled or greased. The bearings are equipped with permanent lubrication.
Time period: Maintenance and cleaning of the door drive should be carried out in consultation with those
responsible for maintenance of the elevator installation, but at least once per year.

The installation or replacement of the drive is described in Chap. 4.1 on page 23.

6.2. Fault repair

The following points are to be checked or measures for fault repair undertaken:
Check the main connector and Voltage supply.
Check the connection of controller on the drive to the control system.
Check the setting of HEX switch S1 and S2 according to details in Chap. 5.1 on page 29.
Check settings of the jumper according to Chap. 5.1 on page 29.
Check door travel, guide rails, sill guide for obstacles.
Check drive and diverter pulleys for ease of movement.
Check driving belt for proper condition and tension.
If service program is available: If the door drive does not run properly, the error stack is to be read first. With
the help of the display, faults or errors can be addressed in a targeted manner. If this is not possible, automatic
commissioning is to be performed, whereby the basic settings must be read in again. Afterwards, perform the
installation-specific settings step-by-step.
In the help files from E@syDrives, additional solution possibilities are provided for fault repair.
