Maintenance logs
You should keep consistent records of device status and faults. Developing trend
patterns may help you to better troubleshoot and maintain your equipment.
You can create and keep electronic files of your records, or use paper copies.
Electronic logs are more efficient, easier to manage and retrieve and less costly.
Electronic maintenance logs
You can create and store logs with any application(s) that you and your staff can
easily use. You could have an on-line site or wiki, or you could save files in an
accessible server.
For example, you could create a basic text file as follows:

Paper maintenance logs
Make copies of this table to keep a log of maintenance activities.
