Door cleaning

As an extra option, you can equip Effecta Smart with
a door cleaning mechanism. It is a simple function,
every time you open the door to insert wood the
tubes are cleaned. An arm(1) is linked to the turbu-
lators, that lifts up and shakes when you open the
door. The tubes are then scraped clean from ashes.
This means that the manual maintenance of the
tubes does not need to be done as often, the effi-
ciency over time also becomes significially higher .
▀ Cleaning the tubes
Even if you have a door cleaning system you need
to clean the tubes manually 2-4 times a year. A good
indicator is when the flue gases has increased 80-
105°F.
In order to clean the tubes you need to remove the
rear cover plate (1). Then unscrew the wingnuts (2)
and remove the hatch. Lift the bar which holds the tur-
bulators (4). Clean the tubes with the brush supplied,
and brush off the turbulators.
Without door cleaning
If your boiler is not equiped with door cleaning you lift
out the turbulators one at a time and clean the tubes
with the brush and brush off the turbulators.
