Effecta Smart has its own shunt control. The shunt control menu is activated when sensor G7
is connected. There you regulate the heating of your house. Start by choosing which sensor to
control with, room sensor, out door sensor or both. If both are chosen the heat is controlled by
the outdoor sensor but the room sensor can provide corrections on the supply temperature +/-
10°F, max room temp. is about to be reached or if the desired room temperature is not reached.
Room sensor
The sensor should be mounted in a place with good air circulation and a temperature that is re-
presentative for the rest of the house. Make sure that there are no other heating sources close
by, for examle lights, freezer or refrigerator.

Outdoor sensor
If an outdoor sensor is used this should be mounted on the facade of the house. The best loca-
tion is facing north/northeast. Make sure that the sensor is not disturbed by solar gain, if there
is no protection a hood can be mounted to protect the sensor. Remember that the angle of the
solar gain is changed from spring to fall. The sensor should be placed 6ft from ground level to
sense the correct temperature.

Loosen the control wheel by
pulling outwards. Then loosen
the screw to open the box.
Loosen the screw and split the
casing. It is then possible to
mount the box to the wall.
